The Canadian Mermaid (real name unknown) was a Northern Siren, and a former member of the Northern Pod. She's the true antagonist of the Season 2 Episode The Siren indirectly.

History[]

The Canadian Mermaid was captured on a tape while floating on the surface and singing the Northern Pod Enchantment Song. She then dragged one kayaking man underwater and attacked the cameraman.

The video was later posted online. When Sirena watched the video, she fell under the effects of the enchantment.

Personality[]

This mermaid seems much more wild and wicked compared to other mermaids who only used their powers for self-defense as she attacked two men unprovoked.

Mermaid Powers[]

The Canadian Mermaid likely did possess all the powers and abilities of a mermaid native from the Northern Pod.

  • Unknown Powers: It was unknown what kind of powers the Canadian Mermaid did possess, but due to being a member of the infamous Northern Pod, somewhere off the Arctic Circle, it was possible that she did possess the regular and elemental powers of Hydro-Cryokinesis, and a full-fledged Cryokinesis, which were very common among the members of the Northern Pod.
  • Siren Singing: As a Siren, she has the ability to sing enchanted songs. She is seen enchanting a kayaker with the Northern Pod Enchantment Song on video. Her voice can cloud the mind and make men completely oblivious to the dangers around them. The mermaid's victim was completely unaware of the mermaid dragging him underwater and did not struggle.

  • Moon Spell Control: An essential skill that every merperson has to learn to master properly, as it lets them survive the Full Moon's spell without letting it control them. As a mermaid native from the sea, she learned it when she was hatchling.
  • Enhanced Breath: Merpeople are able to hold their breath without any discomfort for at least fifteen minutes before needing to breathe, and will get unconscious if the time period extends over past those minute.
  • Speed-Swimming: A common ability to swim at an incredible speed, and as such, their bodies is encased in bubbles because of the incredible high speed. Weilan has the ability to swim at a super speed, and dive at depths no human being is capable of, completely protected from its cold and water pressure.
  • Aquatic Adaptation: Depending on where they are born and raised, merpeople may be resistant to certain elements in that area. Due to being a Northern mermaid, the Canadian Mermaid was most likely immune to beinf infected with a type of Snow Rash, and low temperatures due to swimming in cold, icy waters around Canada, and the Arctic Circle, where the temperatures were very low and intolerant to human organism, completely protected from the cold or hypothermia. The Canadian Mermaid wasn't suffering from the cold or hypothermia, even though she was swimming in an area where the temperature was very low and the humans she attacked were dressed in thick clothing to keep warm, further implying the low temperature and merpeople's resistance to cold and icy waters.
  • Enhanced Senses: Merpeople may have slightly enhanced senses suited to life underwater due to living in the sea. To sea born mermaids, land people smell horrible, even the average hygienic human emits this smell but only mermaids can detect it.
  • Endurance: Merpeople are able to swim for days without exhaustion, something which no human has the stamina to do. They can also dive at depths no human could withstand.
  • Amphibious: Merpeople's respiratory system can extract oxygen from both water and air, allowing them to breathe freely both underwater and on land.
  • Extended Lifespan: While merpeople do age, their lifespan is far longer than that of humans.

  • Moon Ring: It was possible that the Canadian Mermaid was in the possession of a Moon Ring.

  • Weaknesses[]

The Canadian Mermaid has all the typical weaknesses of a Northern mermaid (siren).
